She's wild about salamanders....
and Sammy the turtle too!
But she loves and I mean LOVES frogs....
and her very own "frog pond"!
She's spent HOURS here this summer catching frogs & bonding with mother nature!
She tells me she sings to them to "get them to come up" & then, with quite the technique, she snatches them up. She plays with them & has names for them all. "Jumpy" is usually the catch of the day (pictured above), but "Spotty", "Greeny", & "Jack" have spent many a day with Anna too!
The funny thing is her "frog pond" is just a small ditch that our gutter water empties into. For the longest time there were no frogs or tadpoles to speak of, but she was adamant that it was her "frog pond" & she'd spend hours hoping to catch a frog.....then one day, she had FROGS & lots of them!
I swear they were Heaven sent, just for her :)

That is just too adorable. Boo, you are quite the nature and animal lover!! I think it's so cute that she names them!
That's so cool that there weren't any when she first began hanging out there! So precious that she stays for hours :) She must be in "flow!" Great pics!
