The deed is done......again!!!

Finger-painting...

....turned snack-time!

Look at that smile he gave me as I handed him his fingerpaints...I thought he was so excited to try it! Little did I know, he was....literally!!!! I turned my back on him to get the other kids started, only to turn back around moments later to find half of his paints gone...with no "painting" to speak of!!! Not to worry, it's made mostly of sugar....I should have known :) Needless to say, the boy LOVES fingerpainting!!!

The easy recipe (compliments of Highlights):

Mix 4 tablespoons sugar & 1/2 cup cornstarch in a saucepan.

Add 2 cups cold water & cook over medium heat, until it becomes thick.

Cool, then spoon into containers & add food coloring.

A "First"

Can you tell I'm excited (& perhaps a bit scared)?

But, little by little, I figured out how.

Then I practiced and practiced (while everyone cheered!)......
