It's a BOY!

Colleen, Mike, Anna and Carla welcomed Benjamin Warren on July 13th, & so we ventured out to meet him!
What a sweetheart :) Does he ever have some adoring Big Sisters too!

Anna's "frog pond"

She's wild about salamanders....



and Sammy the turtle too!

But she loves and I mean LOVES frogs....



and her very own "frog pond"!

She's spent HOURS here this summer catching frogs & bonding with mother nature!
She tells me she sings to them to "get them to come up" & then, with quite the technique, she snatches them up. She plays with them & has names for them all. "Jumpy" is usually the catch of the day (pictured above), but "Spotty", "Greeny", & "Jack" have spent many a day with Anna too!



The funny thing is her "frog pond" is just a small ditch that our gutter water empties into. For the longest time there were no frogs or tadpoles to speak of, but she was adamant that it was her "frog pond" & she'd spend hours hoping to catch a frog.....then one day, she had FROGS & lots of them!

I swear they were Heaven sent, just for her :)

Happy 4th of July!

We kicked off the festivities this year at State College, again, with the Firecracker 4K! Although Jeff & I weren't the only ones running. Emma, Boo, & Elle decided they wanted to run too, as long as Aunt Lara and Grant would do it with them...how could she refuse?!

It was so stinkin' cute!

A big thanks to Aunt Lara & Grant for joining them :)



Then it was back to Lara & Jeff's to enjoy the day, the fireworks, & especially the cousins!
